Some of you know that I spent a few months doing artwork for Myth Haven, a fantasy-themed RPG world. I took a LOA from Myth about 8 months ago when I was feeling particularly depressed, but when I felt better I never went back.

Even though I was slaving over making backgrounds (the manager was impossibly meticulous about how she wanted things, I was basically just her puppet) I was treated just like any other beta tester. The whole place was cliquish: they wanted my artwork, but I couldn't have any special privileges (even something so minor as my special avatar that I made myself)

When I felt better (got new medication) I never went back to Myth. I decided to make art for VZones because if I'm going to spend hours hunched over Photoshoppe, I should at least get paid for it. I never wrote her and said, "You know I'm feeling better and I've decided not to work for Myth anymore..." because I hadn't signed a contract with Myth.

Ok. So. About a month ago, I was approached by a VZ manager and told that David Andrews was making a new fantasy-themed world, and did I want to join the staff and make art for them? I said yes and worked on ONE project before I realized that I didn't have the time to contribute (the projects they gave us were very intense)

So today I got FLAMED!

The head of the Myth art dept, a woman named Sly, saw that my name was on the credits for SK and it must've drove her batty:


Gee can we say back stabbers??? Did you plan it all along? Spy on Myth to make a half assed shitty VZones world?? Hope you are feeling better...what a liar. MythHaven will be so much more than any of you losers could have ever put together.

"Allison, Artcher, Artist Goldfinger, Corey Dweck, Cyrille Romulus, ?aemonium, DrPepHolic, Kahoona, Lydia Kovalenko, Nowhereman, PuReAnGeL, Rabbit, Robert, Steve Thomas aka Bill The Galactic Hero, Timebandit, Twilight, and Witch Hazel."


The three names she highlighted: me, Allison and PureAngel, were all once members of the sad little Myth Haven staff. God, people are completely psychotic online... she thinks I went to Myth to SPY? All the artwork in Myth is stolen VZones artwork! LMAO.

I wrote her back a lovely polite email explaining a little of what I wrote here (that I felt dissatisfied with Myth's treatment of me, etc) I guess the proper response would be to flame her back, but what do I say? "Yo bitch! I'ma whup your ass if you talk about SK that way!" I just can't flame someone that writes such a sad little wee flame email. Besides, I always liked Sly. I feel sad that she hates me. Well, kind of.

I got my member comission from VZones today! LMAO. It's the smallest check EVER because I didn't have any NEW art released last month, just old art that was already in the catalogs. *sigh* I've got a bunch of new artwork being processed, though.
