nightmare cookie wu!

Amy made her own take on the Luna Lovegood radish earrings, and I think they're darling. She made the first pair for me, but she's made others and I'm going to be listing them on Etsy soon. I thought I'd post them here first in case anyone on my friend's list wanted a pair.

They're 2" long, made from polymer clay and sterling findings. The stem is made from imported seed beads. The pictures aren't too great, since I need to take my light tent to work with me, but if you ignore the harsh highlights (dang) the colors are accurate.

Amy doesn't use any paint in her polymer work (it's like a polymer faux pas to use paint) and all of the color work (the veins in the leaves, the gradient in the radish) is done by polymer work and is all mysterious and otherworldly... do not offend the polymer gods and use paint!

Luna Lovegood Radish Earrings
I don't have a picture of the earrings hanging from someone's ear, because Amy and I both refused to have our ears showcased.Let me know if you think that a model shot is needed.

The earrings are $18 a pair if you are interested.
$5.50 Priority Mail shipping in the US.

Definitely! Amy has several pairs ready to go, and I'm putting them here first before they go on Etsy, so no worries about quantity. Do you do Paypal?

Enquiring minds want to know!

Sure, she can definitely do clip ons, you know, it's the second request for those. Should I put you down for a pair of clip on radishes?

YES!!! PLEASE!!!
(I have my ears pierced but I'm allergic to nickel--found out after I got my belly button pierced! YOW!) So, now I can only wear clip ons.

I think I've mentioned it before, but I'd love to buy some little mushroom earrings! I think I'd have to have them in every color ;)

I told her even before I saw this comment, that you'd asked for mushroom earrings awhile ago and she should do those (she's also working on sushi earrings). She finally got the nice sterling findings and wire, so she'll be making fairy mushroom earrings (and pendant) soon.

Sushi earrings?! Sweeeet! I'd be on board for some of those!

"it's like a polymer faux pas to use paint"

hahahah oops I broke the rules!! Apparently the polymer gods forgave me and they allowed my work in to polymerclaydaily.com

I'm always impressed with people who do colour work all in polymer clay... I have absolutely no patience for that stuff!

...and now I've gone and gotten pendants mass produced in resin!! No polymer clay at all!! :O I am the evil anti polymer! XD

Oh that's super cool, did you get a lot of site traffic from being on Polymer Clay Daily?

I'm the same way, all of my dolls are painted, and if you look I've painted most of the enchanted forest figurines up there. I think it's more when people do the canes, they brag that they didn't use paint at all - which is valid, since its hard to do and looks awesome when it's just polished.

Those are really cute!

Did I tell you that I still haven't figured out how to take out the earrings they put in when I had my ears pierced at the end of April? I just keep washing my earlobes with antibacterial soap and warm water!

I would like cherries, if Amy is in the mood to make them.

P.S. Tell that bunny to either get some Visine, or go to bed earlier!

Amy will make you cherry earrings. That bunny has seasonal allergies, he takes Claritin D but it's NOT helping. He might have to move on to a prescription.

Oh it's fine. Ordinarily I would've been done right after the book came out, but Amy's boyfriend is still lingering over his copy. So I just had my friend Vikki tell me what happens, the suspense was killing me.

I want a pair! And I want a green spotted mushroom! Did you sculpt the animals? Because I love them! Should I paypal you or Amy for the radish earrings?
[info]lorifury wrote:

Amy sculpted all the little animals! There are a lot of them, actually, I have to take a good picture of them. We're going to do something with them, but for now Amy's going to be selling jewelry. What kind of green for the mushroom, light or dark? I might have to start making Amy handle her own correspondence, but she's so busy I think I'm going to end up being the secretary/mailing flunky.

Gads! You are far too talented to be her secretary. But I know that feeling, as I am Randy's secretary! Hold off on the shroom for now, but I will paypal Amy for the earrings this weekend, make sure she saves me a pair!
