Amy has more jewelry on there, too including the Bing variety of cherries that are very very snazzy and some cheeseburgers.

now I feel even more lazy than usual. man!

those are all really awesome. I love that willet bird painting especially. I'll have to come back and get that when I'm not actually technically supposed to be doing work anymore.

your presentations are always so nice, by the way. I should have paid more attention during diorama making assignments in school :)

I've been doing a LOT of painting lately,I think because I'm just so burned out on dolls and plus I'm at the office 54hrs/week and I need something to do besides office work or I'd go crazy.

I like the willet painting, too, he's the first painting I did from reference, I bought a birds of North America book.

so the jewelry - I don't understand this world, does your sister sculpt all those? how does she deal with the color again, like say the cheeseburgers or the cherries whcih don't have a uniform color, how is that managed? I thought I read here where painting these things was 'impure'...?

the little cheeseburgers are impressive, or maybe I'm just craving a burger, but how does she pull that off...?

maybe I misunderstood what I thought I read here previously

Amy sculpts all the jewelry. The thing I said about not painting polymer was kind of a joke, but I think unless you know the polymer snobs I'm referring to it just doesn't translate. People do millefiore canes and color work with polymer (like a gradient, etc) and it's considered the easy way out to touch the canes up with paint if you make a mistake or if you aren't skilled enough to do a really complex cane. So if you ever see a really snooty polymer artist they'll sometimes say 'and of course no paint used' in a way that makes 'paint' seem like they're saying 'snail slime'.

The mini burgers always make me hungry, I think it's the perfect cheese color she used. I'm not sure how the buns are tinted, I know she does cookies that are a fancy gradient. Oh and she has a tietack that's a stack of pancakes that I can't even look at for very long, it makes me want to eat it. I should photograph it and put it on Etsy.

Thanks! Hee! I am so psyched that you liked them! I'll pack them up today, I think they'll look even better in person, my pictures have sucked lately. This totally rejuvenates me, I've been having a few bad weeks selling at the fleamarket and I was getting down.

K, I've miiiiisssssed you! I'm glad you hopped on LJ today.

I think it's hilarious that other people are responding to the mini burgers - Amy's got some food in her studio that's really tempting - the burgers and the pancakes are the WORST for making you hungry. Though she has tiny pizzas that are pretty dang good.

I've missed you too!

I got myself a snazzy headset/mic doohickey ('cause I'm a dork for SL voice chat!) - we could Skype sometime, if you were hip to that!
